Alex Consani Prepares for Angel Role at 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Alex Consani marked her third appearance on the Victoria’s Secret runway Sunday night in Los Angeles, a milestone that many see as her official elevation to Angel status. The model strutted in two striking ensembles: a pink bra and brief set paired with a flowing cape trimmed in green, followed by a black lace off‑the‑shoulder corset complemented by golden feathered wings.
“The VS Show always makes me feel so empowered,” Consani told Vogue after her walk. “There’s something about the energy of it that’s unlike anything else. Everyone is there to have fun, feel amazing, and really own the moment.”
Backstage, Consani allowed Vogue cameras into her preparation routine. Legendary hair stylist Guido Palau and makeup icon Pat McGrath oversaw her transformation, while rehearsals helped her lock in the performance.
“For me, preparing is mostly about getting myself into that mindset,” she explained. “Obviously you want to feel your best physically, but so much of it is about confidence and going out there ready to have the best time. The second I step onto that runway, the adrenaline takes over.”
She added that the full Angel treatment—professional beauty work and theatrical wings—helped her feel fully immersed in the fantasy of the show. Sharing the backstage experience with fellow models such as Anok Yai and Vittoria Ceretti amplified the excitement.
“Walking the runway itself is obviously such a rush, but honestly some of my favorite moments happened backstage,” Consani said. “Everyone is getting ready together, hyping each other up, laughing, running around. Then suddenly you’re on the runway, and it all goes by in what feels like five seconds.”
Consani said she especially enjoys the final minutes before stepping out, when hair and makeup are complete and the full look is revealed for the first time. “That’s when it becomes real, and you’re like, ‘Okay, she’s ready!’”
After the show, the model and her model friends celebrated in West Hollywood. “It was truly the best night ever. Everyone was in such high spirits after the show, so we were just dancing, laughing, and celebrating together,” she recalled. “The show itself is such an adrenaline rush that you almost need that moment afterward to let it all out. It was the perfect way to end the night.”
Following a hectic Fashion Month and the Victoria’s Secret event, Consani is taking a brief pause before returning to work. “I love getting back into the rhythm of work, seeing what’s next, and having a little time with the people I love,” she said. “I’m really grateful for everything happening right now, so I’m trying to stay present and enjoy it rather than rush ahead. But obviously I’m always excited for the next fashion moment.”
Vogue also released exclusive behind‑the‑scenes footage of Consani’s preparation, from her morning face mask and hair rollers to a post‑show hangout with fellow Angel Paloma Elsesser.
