Victoria Beckham’s Second Gap Collection Reimagines Fall’s Essential Layers
Earlier this year, Victoria Beckham’s debut line for Gap sold out almost as quickly as it arrived, with shoppers snapping up the brand’s classic denim, button‑downs, khakis and hoodies, all refreshed with her signature tailoring and sleek silhouettes. On October 23, the partnership returns with a second collection that carries the same refined aesthetic into the cooler months, adding cozy knits and bold outerwear.
“I wanted to explore proportion, silhouette and color, balancing structure with an elevated sense of ease,” Beckham told Vogue. “I was inspired by the idea of taking Gap’s familiar wardrobe staples and reinterpreting them through my own design lens.” The collaboration was always intended to span multiple seasons, and this installment leans further into layering. Of the 37 pieces, shoppers will find simple button‑front turtlenecks, oversized half‑zips and chunky ribbed zip‑ups crafted from cashmere, merino wool and Gap’s CashSoft fabric, all designed with generous cuts and texture. Outerwear includes high‑neck parkas that cinch at the waist and cropped bombers in deep green and burgundy.
The palette—rich reds and emerald greens—reflects the season and nods to Gap’s San Francisco roots. “The color palette draws inspiration from the works in the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art,” Beckham explained. Their art selection features Alexander Calder mobiles, Ellsworth Kelly canvases and Gerhard Richter paintings, providing ample reference material. “Victoria often starts with art when she’s designing, and the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection at SFMOMA gave us a natural place to begin. Works by Claes Oldenburg, Cy Twombly and Agnes Martin inspired the rich browns and deep greens you see throughout the collection,” Gap president and CEO Mark Breitbard told Vogue. “It’s meaningful to see our founders’ love of art come through in a way that feels authentic to both Gap and Victoria.”
Winter‑ready pieces round out the lineup, including cozy sweats, the signature Gap logo hoodie, and a high‑neck black dress. Deep‑green corduroys, belted wide‑leg trousers in olive and burgundy, and other holiday‑friendly items are also offered. As expected, the collection features several denim styles reimagined by Beckham: a ’90s‑inspired high‑rise straight leg that mirrors a staple in her own closet, and a looser drawstring model that expands Gap’s denim range, which has been riding a wave of popularity since the viral Hailey Bieber jean. A crisp white tee and button‑down are included for styling.
Prices start at $118 for a merino turtleneck and reach $368 for outerwear, a modest increase over the first line, with most denim pieces priced around $120. If the first launch is any indication, demand will be swift, so shoppers may want to act quickly. The Gap × Victoria Beckham collection becomes available on October 23 at select Gap stores and on Gap.com.
