Margalla‑Indus hospital partnership to set benchmark for public service, says Mustafa Kamal

Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal said the new collaboration between Margalla Hospital and the Indus Hospital and Health Network will become a model for public service and transparency, ARY News reported. Speaking at a meeting that reviewed the final steps before the hospital’s opening, Kamal noted that the 167‑bed facility in Islamabad has now been officially transferred to the Indus Hospital group.

He explained that the partnership is intended to embody a commitment to high‑quality, free medical care, including surgeries and advanced diagnostic services. “The Epidemic Diseases Hospital, which has been idle for a long time, is now being made operational,” Kamal said, adding that the Prime Minister will formally inaugurate Margalla Hospital later this week.

The minister highlighted that the new hospital will ease the patient load on other major hospitals in the capital and its surrounding areas, giving a large segment of the population access to free, high‑standard healthcare. Ongoing practical steps, he said, are being taken to ensure the delivery of quality medical facilities across the region.
