Eight terrorists killed in security forces’ intelligence‑based operations in Balochistan, ISPR says

Rawalpindi – The Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that security forces eliminated eight terrorists during three intelligence‑based operations (IBOs) carried out in Quetta, Nushki and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan, ARY News reported.

According to the statement, the militants were linked to the Indian‑backed group Fitna al Hindustan. In Quetta’s Panjpai area, a team of security personnel intercepted a plot to set up a road block that would have disrupted local traffic, resulting in the death of five of the Indian‑sponsored operatives.

A separate sanitisation sweep in Nushki uncovered a hideout where security forces engaged the suspects in a fierce gun battle. Two more Indian‑backed terrorists were killed and a cache of weapons and ammunition was seized.

The third operation took place in Khuzdar, where forces launched a swift offensive against another hideout, killing one terrorist and recovering approximately 490 kilograms of explosives.

Authorities said the ongoing sanitisation efforts aim to root out any remaining Indian‑sponsored elements in the region. The counter‑terrorism drive, dubbed “Azm e Istehkam” and approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full speed to eradicate foreign‑backed terrorism from Pakistan.
