A glossy black manicure remains a timeless choice, much like a little black dress, and Hailey Bieber proved that at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala. The model paired a bubblegum‑pink Chanel column gown by Matthieu Blazy with sleek jet‑black nails, creating a striking contrast.

Bieber turned to her regular celebrity nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt, who also serves as an OPI global ambassador, to achieve the look. Ganzorigt first shaped Bieber’s nails into an almond silhouette to give her fingers a longer appearance. She then applied OPI’s Intelli‑Gel in the shade Black Onyx, delivering a moody, glossy finish that echoed the deep chocolate hair Bieber unveiled in September.

The gala marked the sixth annual Academy Museum event in Los Angeles, where Bieber joined other high‑profile guests such as honorees Colman Domingo and Charlize Theron, and special performer Taylor Swift, in celebrating the art of cinema.

Bieber’s latest manicure, following a set of taupe nails she wore earlier in the season, is already appearing on many fall and winter mood boards. “Bieber is always down to try new things, and she’s so creative when it comes to nails,” Ganzorigt said. “We love creating our custom colors together by layering multiple shades, and it’s always a fun time with her.”
