NADRA Issues Step by Step Guide for First Time Juvenile Identity Card Applications

The National Database and Registration Authority has advised parents to gather the necessary documents before applying for a juvenile identity card for their children. When submitting the application, parents must provide the original identity card number or another legally recognized identity document of the child’s mother or father. Form B, the Child Registration Certificate, is required; if it is not available, the CRMS number from an attested computerized birth certificate should be presented instead. For children born outside Pakistan, attested supporting papers such as an S1 form or a citizenship or immigration certificate must be supplied. Biometric verification of one parent’s identity is mandatory, and the child must be present at the time of application. NADRA recommends visiting the nearest registration centre to complete the process. For additional information, citizens can call the helpline at 1777 or access the official website www.nadra.gov.pk.
