Governor Kundi declares end of those who wrecked KP, urges Fazlur Rehman to join development effort
PESHAWAR — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said on Saturday that the era of those responsible for the province’s devastation has come to an end and invited Maulana Fazlur Rehman to work together for the region’s prosperity.
Speaking to reporters, Kundi recalled the former leader’s frequent claim that “no government is made and run without” him. He added that a new administration has been formed without Fazlur Rehman’s involvement and that it will function effectively.
The governor criticized the federal government for its inability to maintain law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “I invite him to step forward and join us; the chapter has been closed of those who destroyed this province,” Kundi said.
He also urged the exploitation of the province’s mineral and oil resources, stating that they should be extracted for the benefit of the people. “They don’t want the people to become prosperous,” he warned.
Kundi pledged to turn ten to twelve districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into model districts with improved security, aiming to set a new standard for safety and development across the region.
