Everything We Know About Season 2 of Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives”
The first trailer for the second season of “The Hunting Wives,” Rebecca Cutter’s popular series about an East‑Coast mother who relocates to a small Texas town and becomes involved with a powerful, gun‑loving married woman, has finally dropped, and it is already generating buzz.
At the close of season 1, Sophie (Brittany Murphy) discovered that her secret lover Margo (Malin Åkerman) was responsible for the murder of local teenager Abby Jackson, a crime committed to shield Margo’s husband Jed (Dermot Mulroney) and his bid for governor. In the same episode, Sophie also ran over Margo’s troubled brother Kyle in self‑defense and subsequently disposed of his body.
The core cast is set to return. Murphy, Åkerman and Mulroney will reprise their roles, joined again by Jaime Ray Newman as Callie Baskin, Evan Jonigkeit as Graham O’Neil, George Ferrier as Brad, and Karen Rodriguez as Deputy Wanda Salazar.
Season 2 will also feature a slate of guest stars. Dale Dickey appears as Zelda, John Stamos joins as Chase Brylan, and the lineup includes Nadia Kelly and Angel Reese among others.
The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes, matching the length of the debut season. Netflix has scheduled the premiere for November 26, which falls on Thanksgiving Day, giving viewers an excuse to claim the television from football‑watching relatives or to settle in with a themed ranch water and watch on a laptop.
In early October 2026 the series received a renewal for a third season, confirming that the story will continue beyond the upcoming installment.
