Rosie Huntington‑Whiteley Returns to Victoria’s Secret Sixteen Years After Her First Runway Walk
Twenty years ago a 19‑year‑old from Devon stepped onto the Victoria’s Secret runway in a polka‑dot bra and briefs, clutching a stuffed polka‑dot dog while a matching duvet trailed behind her. That playful, girl‑next‑door look launched Huntington‑Whiteley from a Teen Vogue favorite to the face of Burberry, a lingerie designer, a beauty entrepreneur and a film star. After leaving the Angel roster in 2010 to build her Rose Inc. brand, she is now back on the Victoria’s Secret stage.
Huntington‑Whiteley says she feels “delighted” to return after a decade and a half. En route to a fitting in Los Angeles she declined to reveal details of the feathered, rhinestone‑studded tulle finale, noting it will be a joint effort with executive creative director Adam Selman, who previously worked at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty.
Her fitness routine remains a constant. “It’s really about consistency because I’m a gym girl—I’m always training and taking care of myself,” she explains, adding that strength training, often a friendly competition with husband Jason Statham, forms the core of her workouts. Approaching her 40th birthday, she says she values feeling strong and fit over any number on a scale, and credits the confidence that comes from competence.
She also follows a series of short‑term wellness practices before stepping on the world’s most watched runway. Rest, hydration, ample protein, lymphatic drainage sessions with Rebecca Faria, facials from long‑time stylist Shani Darden and cold‑plunge therapy at a nearby Alo Yoga gym all contribute to what she calls “a mindset more than anything.” She trusts veteran hair and makeup artists Guido and Pat McGrath to finish the look.
Despite the brand’s mixed reputation, Huntington‑Whiteley has never heard a fellow model speak poorly of what she describes as “the ultimate iconic American brand.” She adds, “The show continues to celebrate everything people have always loved about Victoria’s Secret while embracing a modern perspective on beauty, confidence and individuality—I’m so happy to be here in this new era.” She looks forward to reuniting with longtime friend Candice Swanepoel and other returning supermodels such as Alex Consani, Paloma Elsesser and Anok Yai.
Before boarding a flight to Hollywood, she scrolled back to 2006 on her phone, finding photos of “baby‑faced, bright‑eyed girls with glitter everywhere.” Images of her and Miranda Kerr, who was paired with her as a newcomer, sit beside selfies with veteran Adriana Lima and snapshots of the Devon girl who left school at 17 to chase a dream. “It’s a full‑circle moment,” she reflects, noting that her children will watch the show with their dad on a Monday morning, making the experience feel even more special as she prepares for the 2026 Victoria’s Secret show.
