Liverpool’s packed schedule leaves players in a delicate position, says Iraola

Andoni Iraola warned that the relentless fixture list is putting Liverpool’s squad in a fragile state after midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai had to leave the field with a first‑half injury in the club’s 2‑1 win at Brentford. The victory, which saw Liverpool overturn a early goal to claim three points, highlighted the physical toll of a demanding calendar. Iraola stressed that the combination of league games, cup commitments and European travel creates a “delicate situation” for the team, especially when key players are forced off early. He called for careful management of the squad’s workload to avoid further setbacks. The match, played on Saturday, was only available to viewers in the United Kingdom.
