PTI figure Murad Saeed allegedly in Afghanistan, says Faisal Vawda

Former Pakistan Tehreek‑e‑Insaf senator Faisal Vawda told ARY News that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Sohail Afridi is being guided from Afghanistan by PTI leader Murad Saeed. Vawda said he has received information confirming that Saeed is currently in Afghanistan. He also recalled a prediction he made ten months earlier that the country would face an emergency and be placed under governor’s rule, adding that he foresaw the possible disqualification of former KP chief minister Sohail Afridi and a potential ban on PTI.

Describing the developing political set‑up as an attempt to curb terrorism, Vawda praised the provincial government in Balochistan for cooperating in the anti‑militancy effort despite its flaws. He criticized the current political system, questioning whether it truly reflects democracy when it serves a small circle of about five hundred elites, and argued that fresh faces should be allowed into politics. Vawda also accused PTI of clinging to a mindset he characterized by abusive language and arson.

Regarding the situation in KP, he said Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has a 180‑day window to demonstrate progress, a period that will be closely monitored and where failure is not an option. Vawda added that if the advisory council meets its goals within that timeframe, the public is likely to reject the existing political leadership in favor of alternative options.
