Karachi victim dies en route to hospital 43 km away

A man who was shot during a suspected robbery in Ghaghar Phatak lost his life while being taken to Jinnah Hospital, 43 kilometres from the scene, ARY News reported. Police identified the victim as Abbas, who was wounded after armed robbers opened fire when he tried to resist the theft. Abbas was left on the roadside for an extended period while bystanders filmed the incident instead of offering assistance. An ambulance eventually arrived and began the journey to the hospital, but Abbas died before reaching it.

Police investigations indicate that the shooting occurred as Abbas opposed the robbery. In a separate case, authorities identified a body recovered in a bag in Karachi’s Nazimabad as that of a man named Adnan. CCTV footage helped locate and arrest the suspect, Nisar, a gardener from Badin district employed at a nursery near KDA Chowrangi. According to police, Adnan and Nisar had been working at the same nursery and had been involved in a personal dispute for some time. Two days before his death, Adnan allegedly tied Nisar with a rope and subjected him to physical abuse. In retaliation, Nisar struck Adnan with a hammer, placed the body in a bag and discarded it, officials said.
